5. TRANSPORTATION AND UNPACKING

■ 5.1 Precautions for Transportation
This precisely adjusted instrument may become inoperable when it is dropped or given
shocks. Use extreme care when transporting it.
■ 5.2 Precautions for Unpacking
- Check the appearance of a carton before unpacking it.
- Be careful not to roughly handle the package when unpacking.
- Carefully remove the product from the package to prevent it from being accidentally
dropped.
- After unpacking, check that the product has not been damaged and the model of the
product is as ordered.

6. INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL

■ 6.1 Pressure Sensor
(1) When connecting the sensor to the pressure line, do not tighten the main case
body with a pipe wrench or similar tool. Be sure to use the hexagon part of the
thread for mounting and removing.
(2) Do not install the product in the pressure line with liquid in the pipeline. Since
liquid is incompressible, tightening the thread may generate high pressure and
may damage the instrument. When installing the product in the existing pressure
line, or when replacing it, remove fluid from the piping connection side, leave
about 15 to 20 mm of air before screwing it.
(3) Though this instrument has an IP65 equivalent protection class (JIS C 0920),
please select a place without direct sunlight and with little humidity and dust, and a
place hard to be splashed with oil/water to prolong the service life.
During installation, do not subject the product to excessive
shocks such as bumping or dropping.
Avoid mounting in a place where vibration or shock may occur,
especially for the terminal box type, where the terminal box part
(made of stainless steel) is heavy and may be damaged by
excessive vibration or impact.
Do not insert a wire into the pressure inlet.
Otherwise, the diaphragm will be damaged and the correct
operation will not be obtained.
Never pull or bend the cable. Also, during wiring, be careful not
to subject the product to the cable weight.
