A Fibre Channel connector
Connect the optical fiber cable for Fibre Channel. For
details on connection, see "Connecting an Optical Fiber
Cable (CSMA-EX230F only)" on page 47.
B Loop ID jumpers
Set the loop ID when the topology is arbitrated loop. For
details, see "Setting the Loop ID (CSMA-EX230F only)"
on page 43.
C FC status indicator
When the Fibre Channel connection is normal, the
indicator is off. When the unit is communicating with the
host computer, this indicator lights green.
If there is a connection error, the indicator lights orange (In
this case, reconnect the cable or change it if necessary.).
D RS-232C connector
For service use only. You do not normally need to use this
connector.
E Cooling fan and ventilation holes
Caution
Be careful not to block the ventilation holes. If you do, the
unit may overheat, resulting in damage.
F AC IN connector
Connect the power cord appropriate for your country to
this connector.

A DIP switch access cover
If you need to change the data compression settings,
remove this cover to change the DIP switch settings. For
details on setting the DIP switches, see "Configuring Data
Compression Settings" on page 41.
