    3. Minimum System Requirements Different aspects of the NB8WVPN have different requirements, so let’s look at them in turn. We’ll start with your computer, which ought to match the following requirements if you are to enjoy the benefits of a high-speed ADSL connection and use of Wireless Networking.

    The MAC address is referred to as a ‘physical address’ by Windows. It is always in the format of six groups of two characters separated by a hyphen. If the NB8WVPN does not recognise the address as valid, enter the values separated by a colon : instead of a hyphen.

    If a wireless router is used in bridge mode, then Access Point functionality is disabled. Network Bridges operate to ‘bridge’ two network segments on the ‘physical’ or MAC link layer.
