Troubleshooting

This troubleshooting guide contains solutions to problems which can be carried out by an ordinary person. The
device does not contain user-serviceable parts. Unauthorized modifications to the device will render the
warranty void. Such modifications may result in injuries and material damage. Refer servicing to instructed or
skilled persons. Contact your Highlite International dealer in case the solution is not described in the table.

The volume is set to minimum
Wi-Fi antenna is not connected

The router limits access to MAC

Wi-Fi signal is too weak
Unsupported encryption method
Incorrect Wi-Fi password
Stations are not broadcasting at
this time of the day (time zone)
The maximum number of listeners is
reached
The URL is out of date
Incorrect network
Firewall limits the access
Bandwidth is too low or busy
The remote control is beyond
outside of the range of the sensor
of the infrared port
The batteries in the remote control
are depleted
Solution
Check if power is switched on and
cables are plugged in
Return the device to your DAP dealer
Increase the volume
Install the supplied Wi-Fi antenna and
put it in a vertical position
Check if the network works on another
device
Check if a DHCP server is available
Check if the static IP address is
configured
Check if your firewall does not block
the output ports
Check the MAC address (Wi-Fi MAC or
LAN MAC in Network Information on
page 48) and add it to the allowed
equipment list of your router (AP)
Check the distance between the
device and the Wi-Fi router
Move the device closer to the router
Set the encryption method to WEP,
WPA or WPA2
Enter the correct Wi-Fi password
Tune in again (URLs are updated daily)
Reset the device's parameters to the
default factory settings. See 6.6.9.16.

Extend the antenna
Move the device closer to a window
Check if there are electrical devices
that cause interference
Check if the device and the media
server use the same network
Disable your firewall for verification
Check the internet connection
Test reception with another station
