5.1

Basic Information on Processing

The operator/user is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting the device. It is essential that
national regulations and restrictions be observed.
Danger of severe bodily injuries from damaged maXium
accessories!
A non-functional device or defective accessories can endanger the patient or user, as well as
affect the intended functions of the device.
To avoid incompatibilities and unsafe operation, only electrosurgical accessories and

medical-electrical devices by Gebrüder Martin may be selected and used.
The device and its accessories must always be kept in flawless working condition.

Intactness of the insulation, cleanliness and integrity must be visually ascertained.
The cart and its accessories must always be kept in flawless working condition.

The note regarding regular control of accessory equipment is intended for the user: Intact
•
insulation, cleanliness and potential damage must be visually ascertained (exclusion of
first errors).
If the cart does not work properly and/or cannot be operated safely, it must be marked as

non-operational and put out of operation.
Units and accessories unfit for further use are to be scrapped.
