Installation of the Devices

Screw the supplied bayonet profile rail (4) into the base of the electrosurgery device (3):
•
— Ensure that the pointed side of the bayonet profile rail (3) is directed to the rear.
— Use the supplied screws.
Screw the two ball-head safety bolts (1) into the corresponding threads of the device
•
holder (2).
Place the electrosurgery device (3) on the device holder (2).
•
Insert the electrosurgery device (3) with the bayonet profile rail (4) into the factory-
•
installed retaining plate (5).
Place the front of the electrosurgery device (3) on the pre-installed ball-head safety
•
bolts (1). Falling down or sliding off of the electrosurgery device can thus be prevented.
The installation of the Argon Beamer (gas components) is described in the Instructions for
•
Use of the Argon Beamer.
• After installation, the electrosurgery devices must be checked for their compliance with the
standardized total leakage current limit by technical staff. The entire electrical medical
system must comply with IEC 60601-1. The sum of all leakage currents (see also
DIN EN ISO 60601-1 8.7) must not exceed a value of 0.5 mA.
• If the sum of all leakage currents exceeds this value, the optional insulation transformer
must be retrofitted, see section 2.3.1 "Optional Components", page 31.
After completion of the installation, the standardized total leakage current limit must be
•
checked again.
