IMPORTANT Before installing ANDROMEDA MAX VAP it is necessary to set up the following facilities next to where it will be installed: 1. a water connection (tap with hose holder); ANDROMEDA MAX VAP will be connected to the tap with hose holder named “WATER INLET” (fig. 1) by means of a rubber hose which must have a pressure resistance of at least 10 ATM.
  • Page 3 5. USE OF KEYS - STANDARD MODE Verify that the electronic card is in “standard” mode. “Ironing board temperature” increase and decrease keys. Adjustable from 0° C to 90° C (or 120° C on steaming models). Upon pressing one of the keys, the temperature set by the operator will be displayed (IRONING °C BOARD TEMP.

    Key to exit the current function. Key to scroll up or down. °C DOWN DOWN Key to reset warnings such as: filter cleaning, probe RESET cleaning, cover changing and zeroing of partial hours. RESET 7. MEANING OF ICONS Indicates that the water inside the boiler is being heated in order to obtain the correct operating pressure.

    Indicates that the maximum number of hours set for the cleaning of the boiler’s probe has been exceeded. Clean the probe and reset the warning (see SET & RESET ) Indicates an anomalous overheating of the boiler. WARNING: A safety device will block the heating of the water inside the boiler.
  • Page 6 SET menu: TOTAL HOURS: To exit Zeroing of hours HOURS OF WORK °C PARTIAL HOURS: DOWN RESET TOTAL HOURS: computation of the total hours the machine has worked for. This data cannot be zeroed. PARTIAL HOURS: computation of the hours the machine has worked for since last zeroing.
  • Page 7 SUBSTITUTION OF FUSES Substitution of fuses is required when a short circuit or an overload occurs. Checking of the fuses is the first thing to be done in case a warning should be displayed. WARNING!: before replacing the fuse it is important to eliminate the cause which determined its breakage.
  • Page 8 1. Use only tap water. 2. Never add additives to water. 3. Empty the boiler once a week, making sure that boiler pressure is not over 0,5 BAR (fig. 1: manometer). To carry out this operation, turn the exhaust tap slowly: we advise you to wear gauntlets against possible burns. N.B. Carry out this operation only when the boiler is cold and the plug is disconnected from the mains.

    ELECTRICAL RISKS The following situations are considered dangerous for the operator: damage of iron cables (fig. 3), loss of water from iron (fig. 4), loss of water from external of solenoid valve (fig. 1), iron overheating, earth protector switch is activated upon turning on the main switch, using ANDROMEDA MAX VAP during thunderstorms, using ANDROMEDA MAX VAP without proper protection for feet (without shoes) or with wet feet,...
  • Page 10 INTERVENTIONS AND SMALL REPAIRS The following procedures may be carried out by an Authorized Service Centre or by the customer (boiler MUST be cold and plug MUST be disconnected from the mains): 1. replacement of the cover every 700 hrs. (the respective icon will appear on the display).
