Troubleshooting
Alarm messages in the alarm display field are displayed in hierarchical order.
For example, if two faults are detected simultaneously, the more urgent of the two is displayed.
The priority level of the alarm messages (see Evita 4 sw 4.n and Evita 2 dura sw 4.n Operating Manuals
for definitions) is identified by exclamation marks:
Warning
= !!! Message with top priority
Caution
= !!
Message with medium priority
Advisory
= !
Message with low priority
In the table below, only messages specific to the NIV application mode are listed.
This table is intended to help identifying possible causes of an alarm
and to assist with prompt corrective action.

Cause
Apnea monitoring has been switched off. Adjust upper alarm limit of apnea delay
Monitoring of lower alarm limit for MV
has been switched off
Upper alarm limit for inspiratory tidal
volume V
has been switched off.

Remedy
time back to the desired value.
Adjust alarm limit MV
back to the
desired level of monitoring.
Adjust alarm limit V
back to the
Ti
desired alarm threshold.
