Installation of the NIV option should only be performed by
factory trained and authorized service personnel follo-
wing the respective installation documentation.

Deadspace will increase when using a mask.
Observe mask manufacturers data on dead space.

Switching to operation mode "mask" when ventilating an
intubated patient, could result in inadequate monitoring
and put intubated patients at risk.

Always check alarm limits after switching from "mask" to
"tube" mode.
WARNING !
When ventilating with a mask, avoid high airway pressu-
res.
