1. Do not try to drill a workpiece that is too small to be
securely held to the table or in a vise.
2. Make sure there are no foreign objects, nails, stones in
the workpiece.
3. Never start the drill press with the drill bit, cutting tool or
sanding drum against the workpiece. Loss of control of
the workpiece can cause serious injury.
4. Properly support long or wide workpiece. Secure the
workpiece firmly against the table. Prevent the
workpiece from rotating by clamping it to the table or by
securing it against the drill press column. Loss of control
of workpiece can cause serious injury.
