Safety
Before using the equipment, read this user manual carefully and keep it for future reference Renfert
GmbH reserves the right to modify or revise this user manual at its own discretion at any time
1.3
Intended use
The SIMPLEX 3D filament printer produces three-dimensional objects from melted filament in just one
printing step. First you must create the objects using a CAD program and save them as *.stl, *.obj or
*.3mf files. You must then use SIMPLEX sliceware to convert your 3D CAD files into print objects for the
SIMPLEX 3D filament printer. Transfer your files to your SIMPLEX 3D filament printer using a USB flash
drive or Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi module is not available for all regions.
1.4
Improper use
Only spare parts and accessories supplied or authorized by Renfert GmbH may be used with this prod-
uct. If other spare parts or accessories are used, this could have a detrimental effect on the safety of the
equipment, increase the risk of serious injury and lead to damage to the environment or the product itself
1.5
Ambient conditions for safe operation
The unit may only be operated:
• Indoors
• Up to an altitude of 2,000 m above sea level
• At an ambient temperature of between 15 - 32 ºC [59 - 90 ºF] *)
• At a maximum relative humidity of 80 % at 31 ºC [87.8 ºF], decreasing linearly to 50% relative humidity
at 40 ºC [104 ºF] *)
• With mains power where the voltage fluctuations do not exceed 10 % of the nominal value
• Under contamination level 2 conditions
• Under over-voltage category II conditions
*) At between 5 - 30 ºC [41 - 86 ºF], the unit can be operated at a humidity of up to 80 %. At temperatures between
31 - 40 ºC [87.8 - 104 ºF] the humidity must decrease proportionally in order to ensure operational readiness (e.g.,
at 35 ºC [95 ºF] = 65 % humidity, at 40 ºC [104 ºF] = 50 % humidity). The unit may not be operated at temperatures
above 40 ºC [104 ºF].
1.6
Ambient conditions for storage and transport
The following ambient conditions must be observed during storage and transport:
• Ambient temperature of -20 - +60 ºC [-4 - +140 ºF]
• Maximum relative humidity 80 %
