The key switch controls the engine and electrical system. A key is used to select
the key switch position. The key can only be inserted or removed when the key
switch is set to OFF. Vehicles with this key switch are pedal-start vehicles.

The maintenance/operate switch is used by a trained technician to do
maintenance functions with the engine on.

Normal position when the vehicle is not in use.
Electrical power from the battery is not available to power the engine, engine
starter, or electrical systems.
Note:
Some electrical accessories operate independently of the key switch.

Electrical power from the battery is available to power the engine, engine
starter, and electrical systems.
WITH THE SWITCH SET TO MAINTENANCE AND THE ENGINE ON,
THE VEHICLE CAN MOVE SUDDENLY IF THE FORWARD / NEUTRAL
/ REVERSE CONTROL (FNR) IS ACCIDENTALLY SHIFTED. ENGAGE
THE PARK BRAKE. PUT CHOCKS AGAINST THE FRONT AND REAR
WHEELS.
Normal Operation
Only to be used for extended storage and by a trained technician for
maintenance functions.
