MXR42 INSTALLATION Preparation Please read entire manual before installation. Before You Start • Disconnect negative battery terminal. Consult a qualified technician for instructions. • Avoid installing the unit where it would be subject to high temperatures, such as from direct sunlight, or where it would be subject to dust, dirt or excessive vibration.
Using an incorrect fuse could damage the radio. The MXR42 uses one 5 amp AGC fuse located in-line. * Caution - Do not attach any speaker leads to ground as severe damage will occur.

MXR42 OPERATION General Operation Press to turn the unit on. Press and hold for more Power On/Off than two seconds to turn the unit off. Press SOURCE to select between AM/FM, auxiliary input, Source USB or SD Card modes. Modes of operation are indicated in the display.
MXR42 OPERATION Tuner Operation Seek Tuning Manual Tuning Band Storing and Recalling Station Presets Automatically Store Stations Press TUNE or TUNE seek the next strong station. Press TUNE or TUNE radio station at a time. Press and hold to advance quickly. Press BAND to select between FM1, FM2, FM3 and AM1, AM2 bands.
MXR42's USB port. To play MP3/WMA files from an SD card, insert an SD card into the MXR42's SD card slot with the label facing left. It will click into place when properly inserted. To remove the card, press in until it clicks, then pull to remove.
