6 SCHEMATICS • This chapter will outline both power down and gravity down schematics for DHOLLANDIA DH-R* series liftgates. • For the sake of simplicity, only the primary control (OAE015.PR / E0832.B) will be shown. • To troubleshoot other configurations, please refer to the previous chapters, or see contact information on page LINK.
7 TROUBLESHOOTING • This chapter will outline the most common issues encountered with DHOLLANDIA DH-R* series liftgates. CHECKING BATTERIES • Before moving on to any other section of this chapter, measure the voltages throughout the system. • Do this with the vehicle powered off, so normal use case scenarios can be assessed.

Check the primary toggle switch harness for shorts, sharp bends / crimps, or other signs of damage / wear. If any damage exists, consider contacting your local DHOLLANDIA dealer to acquire a new toggle switch. Damage to the primary toggle switch can be verified by following the flow schematics given in section 6 on page 15.
Visual verification of this is generally adequate for diagnosis. o If aeration of the fluid in the reservoir occurs, please contact your local DHOLLANDIA dealer. See page 32. 4. Check for voltage (12V nominal) on row “H” of the connection block.
3. Check the operating pressures of the liftgate. o If you are not outfitted with DHOLLANDIA’s pressure gauge (part K0106), please contact your local DHOLLANDIA dealer for a quote. See page 32. o The maximum pressure the liftgate is set at from the factory will be listed on your order paperwork.
6. Finally, inspect and clean out the safety valves. WARNING • Removing the safety valve on the lift cylinder(s) will cause the platform to fall rapidly. • Ensure the platform is either on the ground, or properly secured from falling before proceeding with removing the safety valves. DHOLLANDIA...
3. Inspect and clean out the safety valves at the base of the lift cylinder(s). o Contamination in these valves may allow fluid to bypass and cause the platform to drift down. 4. If the liftgate continues to drift down, please contact your local DHOLLANDIA dealer. See contact information on page 32. DHOLLANDIA...
2. Platform will not auto-tilt to meet the ground (ONLY RMM* / RMH* (RM.20 / RM.25) SERIES GATES): o Check to see if the auto-tilt bolts have been removed post-installation. o These bolts keep the swing brackets for auto-tilt in place during installation and should be removed afterwards.
