    Assembly and installation 4.1 Wall-mounted Installation (mechanical) NOTICE! Distance to the sampling site Install the DULCO turb C no more than 3 metres away from the sampling site. This is the only way to ensure a quick response time from the system. Horizontal position Ensure that your device is horizontal.

Select a position with sufficient room to enable correct configura‐ tion of the device when it is being installed.

Free flow at the drain Direct any sample water that has flowed through the DULCO turb C into a free drain. Do not feed back any sample water into the process.

    Assembly and installation 4.2.1 Hose connector at the sample water inlet/outlet INFORMATION: Do not return the drained sample or the water that has passed through the DULCO turb C into the process flow or the drinking water supply. Select a flexible hose with a ¼-inch outer diameter (polyethy‐ lene or polypropylene).
  • Page 19 Assembly and installation INFORMATION: The RS-485 digital interface (2 lines/half-duplex) is characterised by a very high tolerance to electromagnetic inter‐ ference due to the symmetrical signal transmission. This means that cable lengths of up to 900 metres can be used. The final device in a bus must be equipped with a 120 Ohm resistor to avoid signal overlapping.

    Operating diagram 5.2.1 Operating mode: AUTO ‘AUTO’ operating mode is the normal operating mode. This is the standard operating mode when the power supply is switched on or restored. The other 3 operating modes are limited to 15 minutes without a key being pressed, and then these operating modes return to AUTO mode.

This ID can be used when downloading the recorded data. This enables the data to be assigned to a specific device or location.
