4.3.3. Liquid requirements for the pump.
The 3TP submersible pump was designed to pump cold and clean water, free from
ATTENTION
air or gas. If the characteristics of the liquid are not as described, the life span and
the characteristics of the pump could change.
Make sure that the minimum cooling flow on the pump is 8 cm/s. See the table below.
Do not let the pump run with the delivery pipe closed for more than 10 mins.. The
ATTENTION
motor would not be cooled and could overheat.
4.4
Selection of cable
The 3TP pump can be supplied with different cable lengths without any joints. If the cable
length is not sufficient, other lengths can be joined by using one of the special junction kits.
Always choose the appropriate cable section in order to have the exact voltage at
ATTENTION
the pump terminals. (Permitted variation: –10%/+6%) .The technician installing the
cable is the only person responsible for the choice of cable. The minimum section is
specified in the table below.

INSTALLATION

During installation of the pump, care must be taken not to damage the cable. It

should be protected if necessary.
When the pipe is fixed to the pump, this should be held by the upper support.

Before doing any work on the pump, the power supply must be disconnected.

5.1 Protection against electric shock (grounding/earthing)
To prevent electric shocks, the pump must be grounded in conformity with the current
legislation of the country in which it is being installed.

Vertical installation

Always check the technical specifications of the pipe manufacturer.
If the pump was installed with plastic piping, when lifting, a steel cord should be hooked onto
the upper support of the pump.
