    POWERING OPTIONS There are two ways to power the FieldVision monitor: AC power or NP-F battery (not included). NP-F BATTERY 1. Align the battery plate with the mounting sockets on the back of the monitor. Make sure the battery plate’s power cable is on the same side as the monitor’s power input.

    ATTACHING THE SUN HOOD The sun hood prevents glare on the monitor’s screen by blocking out stray light, and it is useful when shooting outdoors. 1. Snap the sun hood bracket onto the front of the monitor. 2. Attach the long side of the sun hood to the touch- connect strip at the top of the bracket.

    MOUNTING OPTIONS MOUNTING THE MONITOR ONTO A CAMERA 1. Screw the ballhead into one of the monitor’s 1/4-20 threaded sockets until it’s tight. 2. Loosen the mounting shoe by turning the locking wheel counterclockwise. Make sure the locking knob is tight, and the ballhead is locked into place.

    CONNECTING VIDEO INPUTS HDMI: Connect the monitor’s HDMI input to a camera with an HDMI output. VGA: Use a VGA cable to connect the monitor to the VGA output of a computer.

    POWERING ON/OFF 1. Attach a battery, or plug the monitor into an AC outlet. 2. Press the power button. To turn the monitor off, press and hold the power button until the monitor powers down.

    USER INTERFACE ACCESSING THE MENUS All setting configurations are made in the six main menus: Picture, Marker, Function, Assistant, Audio, and System. MENU NAVIGATION Press the menu dial to call up the main menu, and turn the dial to scroll through the menu items. Press the menu dial to enter a submenu and to select the highlighted menu selection.

    QUICK ADJUSTMENTS Function Buttons There are two user-definable function buttons, F1 and F2, which allow you to toggle a function on or off. By default, F1 is set to Peaking, and F2 is set to Level Meter. To change the function button settings, see Function Menu below.

    Volume (default), Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, Tint, and Sharpness. INPUT SIGNAL The OCM-101-4KH accepts HDMI and VGA input signals. Once the monitor is powered on, press the power button to select between HDMI and VGA signals.

    PICTURE MENU BRIGHTNESS Adjusts the monitor’s brightness value from 0 to 100. The default setting is 50. CONTRAST Adjusts the contrast value of the on-screen image from 0 to 100. The default setting is 50. SATURATION Adjusts the value of screen color saturation from 0 to 100. The default setting is 50.

    COLOR TEMPERATURE Adjusts the color temperature of the on-screen image. Presets are 6500 (default), 7500, and 9300 K, and User. When User mode is selected, additional menus for red, green, and blue gain and offset become active, and can be accessed by scrolling past the Color Temp menu.

    MARKER MENU CENTER MARKER Turning the center marker option on places a crosshair at the center of the screen. The preset is set to off. ASPECT MARKER Sets the aspect marker on-screen display. Select from 16:9, 1.85:1, 2.35:1, 4:3, 3:2, 1.3X, 2.0X, 2.0X MAG, and off (default). SAFETY MARKER Displays an on-screen safety frame marker.
  • Page 22 ASPECT MAT Available only when an aspect ratio is selected from the Aspect Marker menu. Adjust the darkness of the area of the screen that’s outside the aspect marker. Choose from 1 to 7 (lightest to darkest) and off (default). THICKNESS Adjusts the thickness of the center marker, aspect marker, and grid.

    FUNCTION MENU SCAN Determines how the image is displayed based on the settings in the Aspect and Zoom menus below. Selecting Aspect (default) or Zoom activates the Aspect or Zoom menus. Selecting Pixel-to-Pixel turns off scaling and displays the incoming video signal in its native resolution and aspect ratio with 1:1 pixel mapping.

    ASSISTANT MENU PEAKING Turning the peaking feature on adds a color outline to high- contrast areas of the image, highlighting areas that are in focus. The default is set to off. PEAKING COLOR Selects the color of the peaking feature’s outline. Choose red (default), green, blue, white, or black.

    EXPOSURE Displays diagonal stripes through areas of the image that exceed the exposure level setting in the Exposure Level menu. EXPOSURE LEVEL Adjusts the exposure level intensity from 0 to 100. The default value is set to 85. HISTOGRAM Histogram places a meter in the lower right corner of the screen that indicates the overall level of exposure from light to dark.
  • Page 27 VGA MENU This menu is available only with VGA input. AUTO This is the recommended setting. It automatically adjusts and calibrates the monitor to the analog signal. PHASE Adjust this setting from 0 to 100 to remove any vertical banding effects. The default value is 19. CLOCK Adjusts settings to match the source’s clock rate from 0 to 100.

    AUDIO MENU VOLUME Adjust the level of the audio output from 1 to 100. The default volume is set to 0. LEVEL METER Activating the level meter puts a meter on-screen that can monitor embedded stereo audio. The default setting is on. MUTE Selecting on instantly mutes the audio.

    SYSTEM MENU LANGUAGE Sets the language of the on-screen display to English (default) or Chinese. OSD TIMER Set the length of time the on-screen menu is displayed. Select 10 (default), 20, or 30 seconds. IMAGE FLIP Controls the orientation of the on-screen image. Flip the screen horizontally (H), vertically (V), or both (H/V).

Choose Peaking (F1 default), False Color, Exposure, Histogram, Mute, Level Meter (F2 default), Center Marker, Aspect Marker, Grid, Check Field, Display Scan, Scan, Aspect, DSLR, Freeze, and Image Flip. When the function is assigned, press the function buttons repeatedly to scroll through the available options for that function.
