PERIODIC INSPECTION
REPLACING MAIN FILTER ELEMENT
The main filter is located under the floorboard (near the
transmission behind the accelerator pedal). Put an oil receiving
pan under the filter and turn the filter body (cartridge type)
counterclockwise to remove it. Install a new cartridge using
caution not to damage the "O"-ring.

DRAIN PLUG
Put an oil receiving pan under the drain plug and drain the differential
through the drain plug. Add new oil through the level plug and run the
truck for about 5 minutes to clean inside the differential. Then, drain
the differential again, install the drain plug and add new oil through
the level plug to the specified level.
CHANGING FINAL REDUCTION GEAR OIL AND
CLEANING INSIDE FINAL REDUCTION GEAR
Position the arrow marking on the final reduction gear case at the top.
Drain oil through the drain plug and turn the tire half of a turn (position
the arrow marking at the bottom) to position the drain plug at the top.
Add new oil and run the truck for about 5 minutes to clean inside the
final reduction gear. Then, position the arrow marking at the top again
and drain oil. Position the fill plug at the top and add new oil to the
specified level.
