Chapter 1 Introducing the IS911 Module
1.1

Functions and Characteristics of the IS911 Module

IS911 module is a serial communication module used connecting with TC-net
I/O of unified controller nv series.
IS911 module can communicate between type2 controller of unified controller
nv series ("type2" or "type2 controller" hereafter), SYSMAC, or MELSEC.
Characteristics of the IS911 module
IS911 module can be connected with external equipment by RS-232C or
RS-485, and can perform data transmission. There are the following
characteristics in IS911 module.
 Communication Protocol
 Data input / output
 Standard input / output
 Only SYSMAC serial communication module (CS1W-SBC-V1 / C500-LK201) and

The communication protocol supports SYSMAC host link method and
MELSEC computer link dedicated protocol format 4.
MELSEC has two types of commands, "ACPU common command" and "AnA
/ AnU common command", depending on the frame format. For details, refer
to the "MELSEC" manual.

Data can be input / output by registering the link register type and address in
the module parameters of the IS911 module, and then assigning the size
and network variables to the Network Talker Block.
By registering the above network variable in the process tag, the
transmission data can be taken into the tag variable.
Note
MELSEC computer link unit (AJ71UC24, QJ71C24N) can communicate with the
IS911 module.
