6. TROUBLESHOOTING AND ERROR RECTIFICATION
6.1 Safety regulations
Warning!
A defective UV-unitr without function can cause serious health problems or even life-threatening
effects when drinking water contaminated with pathogens.
•
Operate the UV-unit only properly in accordance with this operating manual.
•
Take the UV-unit out of operation immediately if you notice a faulty or ineffective operation.
•
In case of a defective UV-unit, immediately provide an alternative disinfection of the water
and do not use it until this is guaranteed.
•
Do not make any changes or additions to the UV-unit.

•
UV-C radiation can cause damage to skin and eyes.
•
Never open the housing of the UV-unit.
•
Never look into the openings of the water connections when the UV-unit is switched on.
•
Only operate the UV-unit when the housing is undamaged and closed.

6.2 Requirements for the person performing the work
The troubleshooting of the UV-unit must either be carried out by a qualified or by a technically experienced
person (see also chapter Minimum qualifications for handling the product (p.35)).
