Selecting Audio Output
Each DVD disc has a variety of audio output
options. Set the player's AUDIO OUT
according to the type of audio system you
use.
1 At the SETUP MENU screen, press the
5/b buttons to select "AUDIO OUT,"
then press the ENTER button.

Press the ENTER button as many times
as necessary to select PCM, ANALOG
or BITSTREAM.

AUDIO OUT PCM
BITSTREAM: Select "BITSTREAM" if an
active Audio output is supplied to an
amplifier or other equipment with DTS
decoder, Dolby Digital decoder.
PCM: Select "PCM" if an active Audio output
is supplied to an amplifier or other
equipment with linear PCM only (or MD
recorder or DAT deck).
ANALOG: Select "ANALOG" if an active
analog output is supplied to an amplifier.
To exit the SETUP MENU, press the SETUP
button.
Notes:
< If an active digital audio output signal is
supplied to a amplifier or other equipment
without a corresponding digital decoding
capability, a very loud noise may be
produced which could permanently
damage the speakers.
< If you make a digital recording from a CD
to your house audio CD recorder, all
tracks on that CD are recorded as a single
track. This is because no track information
is recorded along with audio.

Chaque disque DVD offre tout un choix
d'options de sorties audio. Réglez la sortie
AUDIO OUT de votre lecteur en fonction du
type audio utilisé.

A partir du menu SETUP, appuyez sur les
touches (
l'option "Audio out" (sortie audio) puis
sur la touche ENTER.

Appuyez sur la touche ENTER autant de
fois que nécessaire pour sélectionner
l'option désirée: PCM, ANALOGIQUE ou
BITSTREAM.

BITSTREAM: Sélectionnez l'option "
si votre amplificateur ou tout autre équipement
doté d'un décodeur DTS ou DOLBY numérique est
équipé d'une sortie Audio active.
PCM: Sélectionnez cette fonction si votre
amplificateur ou tout autre équipement avec PCM
linéaire uniquement (ou enregistreur PLD ou
platine DAT) est doté d'une sortie Audio active.
ANALOG: Sélectionnez cette option si
l'amplificateur est doté d'une sortie Audio active.
Remarques:
< Si un signal de sortie Audio numérique active
est transmis à un récepteur ou à tout autre
équipement sans que celui-ci soit doté d'un
système
correspondant, il peut en résulter un bruit très
fort qui risque de détériorer les enceintes.
< Si vous réalisez l' enregistrement numérique
d'un disque compact sur votre graveur de CD
Audio, les titres successifs du CD
s'enregistrent comme un seul titre. Ceci est
du au fait que l'information de numéro de titre
n'est pas enregistrée avec le signal audio.
