Step 5: Check Phone
Settings
No glucose alerts unless you turn them on
• Turn on alerts during setup to get glucose and
system alerts when sensor warmup is over
Dexcom ONE alerts will NOT override your
phone's settings
• You will NOT hear high or low glucose alerts if
your phone is set to silent (sound is turned off)
• You will hear alerts ONLY when your phone is set
to sound
• Check your phone's settings or you may miss an
alert
Step 6: Turn On Alerts
If you did not turn on alerts during set up, you can do
so at any time.
1. Tap Settings > Alerts
2. You will see a list of alerts
3. Tap one you want to set
4. Follow the screen prompts
5. Return to Settings > Alerts to set another one
6. Tap Glucose to return to the home screen
Smart Device Safety Notice
Your smart device isn't a dedicated medical device.
To make sure you get sensor readings and alerts:
• Do not use a hacked (jailbroken or rooted) smart
device because Dexcom ONE may not work
correctly.
• Bluetooth must be on for your transmitter and
app to communicate.
• Do not rely on Dexcom ONE until you understand
how to use it and your smart device's Bluetooth.
• Make sure your smart device's speaker(s) and
screen work.
