Overview

1.1 Product Overview

When used with the PQ3198* Power Quality Analyzer, the PW9005 GPS Box allows the
instrument to acquire the time accurately by using the Global Positioning System (GPS).
For information about the PQ3198 that is not included in this manual, refer to the Instruc-
tion Manual that came with the PQ3198.
*: The PW3198 Power Quality Analyzer can also be used in conbination with the PW9005.

Part Names/Functions and Display Indicators

RS-232C Interface
Connect the PW9005 to the PQ3198 us-
ing the included RS-232C cable.
Front
Locking clamp
Pass the AC adapter cord through this
clamp (to prevent the AC adapter from
being unplugged).
DC power supply output cable
Connect to the PQ3198's AC adapter ter-
minal to supply power to the PQ3198.
AC adapter terminal
Connect the Z1002 AC Adapter that
came with the PQ3198.
Back
Antenna terminal
Connect the included GPS antenna.
Serial No.
Displays the instrument's serial num-
ber. Do not remove the label as the in-
formation is contains is necessary in
order to manage the device.

turns on automatically when the AC
adapter is connected.
