An emergency switch is located on the left
side of the dashboard. Depending on the
market specification, the emergency switch
may disconnect the bus electrical power
supply, cut off the fuel supply and activate

Protection Against Battery Discharge

In order to prevent battery discharge while
the bus is standing, the Volvo 9700 bus is
equipped with a function that disconnects the
supply to major electrical consumers such
as: the kitchenette, electric heaters, some
external lighting etc.
Power to these consumers is switched off
around 30 seconds after the engine is shut
down, and it is then switched back on once
the engine is started and its revolutions reach
at least 1000 rpm for 10 seconds.
