6. FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION The handpiece with the lighting is VistaCam automatically switched on as soon as it is consists of a Basis station (1), the handpiece removed from its holder (2) or removed from (6) with an IFC (Iris Focus Control) Optic and the battery charger unit (5).
INSTALLATION 7. SET-UP The plug and socket where the Basis station (1) is to be connected to the mains must be easily accessible. The VistaCam must not be set up near any wash basins or the spittoon. No water, even spray, should come into contact with the appliance.
7.3 Attaching the handpiece holder The handpiece holder (2) can be attached directly to the Basis station or mounted at any appropriate position in the vicinity of the VistaCam (camera cable length 2 m). 8. ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS When connecting to image viewing hardware ensure that IEC 60601-1 (EN 60 601-1; VDE 0750 Teil 1-1) is observed. 9. COMMISSIONING Do not put the appliance into operation immediately. It should first be allowed to warm up to room temperature, otherwise dampness in the form of condensation can accumulate, which could damage the electronic components when switching on. The appliance must not be used in any way that gives concern regarding safety! The appliance may only be operated in a safe and functional condition.
