11. Set-up 11.1 Room for Set-up •TheVistaScanPerioPlusshouldbesetupin aclosed,dryandwell-ventilatedroom. •Theroomtemperatureshouldnotfallbelow+ 10°Corexceed+35°C. Danger of short circuit due to build up of condensation. Use of the Appliance inactiveside: 14. Image plate Image plates are toxic: for this reason image plates must be placed in a light protection cover before placing into the mouth of a patient. In the case of a patient swallowing an image plate or a part of one then a doctor must be consulted immedi- ately and the image plate removed.

Thesilverpointontheinactivesidemustface theocclusalarea.Theactivesideoftheimage platemustpointinthedirectionoftheX-ray tube. The light protection cover must therefore lay firmly against the cover of the foil cassette.
