Oil Pump Gears - Hyundai Accent GL 2002 Manual

OIL PUMP GEARS

1. Check the gear tooth surfaces for wear or damage.
2. Measure the clearance between outer gear and front case.
Body clearance: 0.12 - 0.185 mm (0.0047 - 0.0073 in.)
Tip clearance: 0.025 - 0.069 mm (0.0010 - 0.0027 in.)
Side clearance
Outer gear: 0.04 - 0.09 mm (0.0016 - 0.0035 in.)
Inner gear: 0.04 - 0.085 mm (0.0016 - 0.0033 in.)

3. Check the tip clearance on the pump rotor.
