PreConfiguration
If one of the four control buttons is held depressed when the
on button is
pressed to switch the instrument on, the instrument can be "pre-
configured"; and these actions are described below.
Version Number
If the
help button is held down at the instant of switch-on, the screen
first displays the software version number and certain other additional
information; when the
help button is released, the usual title screen
appears, and operation continues exactly as normal.
If you have any queries about your CM9, you should quote this software
version number
(as well as the instrument's serial number) when
contacting us.
UnderCover
By default, the UnderCover mode is "OFF" until such time as you choose
to activate it; but if the
button is held down at the instant of switch-on,
the UnderCover mode will be "ON" by default (until such time as you
choose to de-activate it). Note that the default value for minimum cover is
35mm; if you require a different value, you will still have to enter the
UnderCover set-up menu later to set your desired threshold value.
MaxPip
By default, the MaxPip mode is "OFF" until such time as you choose to
activate it; but if the
button is held down at the instant of switch-on, the
MaxPip mode will be "ON" by default (until such time as you choose to de-
activate it).
Language
As the CM9 has been designed as an international instrument, most
models actually contain two sets of on-screen operating prompts and help
messages
in two different languages
(which two will depend on the
country of destination).
The default language is set at the factory (or by an authorised distributor)
to suit the customer's requirement; but it is possible to temporarily select
the "other" language.
To do this, hold down the
set button whilst switching on; the alternate
language will then be used until the instrument is switched off (after which
the factory-set default will again be operative). (The languages present in
your instrument are indicated on the "Version Number" screen described
above; consult Elcometer for a list of languages currently available.)
