5 TAKING A READING

1. Place probe perpendicularly on coated surface for one second to take a
reading
2. For subsequent readings, remove and then replace the probe on coated
surface
Note: The gauge will automatically switch off if inactive for the period defined in
MENU/SETUP/AUTO SWITCH OFF

indicates reading outside range of probe

6 CALIBRATING THE GAUGE

1. Press CAL soft key
2. Follow on-screen instructions
3. When prompted place probe on centre of selected foil
4. For alternative calibration methods select MENU/CAL METHOD -

Note: Not all methods are available for all gauge types. See "Calibration
Methods" page 5
