Both persons: Set it aside, standing on the bed end attachments.
Make sure it stands stable on a solid surface.

Pull out the red buttonsL on each side of the mattress support
section and turn them anti-clockwise to open the snap locks.
Pin out = open.

Both persons: Grab the sides of the lower half of the mattress
support. Lift it off the snap locks.
12. Set it aside, standing on the bed end attachments. Make sure it
stands stable on a solid surface.

3.2.4 Disassembly of mattress support (one person)

1.
Lock the brakes.
2.
Insert the plug from the hi/lo motor in the control box and
connect the bed to the mains.
3.
Use the hand control to lower the bed completely down..
4.
Remove the locking cam from the control unit
5.
Disconnect all motor plugs from the control box and disconnect
the bed from the mains.

Loosen the wires.
7.
Loosen and remove the finger screws in the middle of the
mattress support.
8.
Stand at the end of the upper half of the mattress support, hold
the sides on the frame and pull it straight out until it comes to
a stop.
9.
Tip it gently onto the floor until it stands on the bed end
attachments and set it aside.
10. Move over to the lower half of the mattress support.
11.
Pull out the red buttonsL on each side of the mattress support
section and turn them anti-clockwise to open the snap locks E.
Pin out = open.
12. Stand in the bed end and pull the section backwards until it
unlocks and leans on the shear arms pivots.
13. Tip the section, to an upright position, standing on the bed end
attachments.
14. Set it aside, standing on the bed end attachments. Make sure it
stands stable on a solid surface.

3.3 Shear arms

CAUTION!
Risk of personal injury
Personal injury can occur if the snap lock between the
base and the shear arm is not correctly engaged.
– Secure the snap lock.
IMPORTANT!
If wires get trapped between the base and the shear arm
they can get damaged.
– Make sure the wires run free from moving parts.
IMPORTANT!
If the clamp on the pipe pin gets deformed the pin could
loosen.
– Never pull the clamp and always make sure it is
properly closed.

3.3.1 Assembly of shear arms

The shear arms have to be in the lowest position before
starting.
1.
Lock the brakes.
2.
Place one person in the bed foot end and one in the bed head end.
