15 Throubleshooting table

15.1 General operation:

• The green indicator «ON» does not light.
Check fuses and wiring connections cables.
Check the main switch.
• The equipment still adding water till it breaks out off the sample.
The equipment does not detect the water level for low conductivity. Add about
250ml of tap water in the water tank.
Check the cable (white) of the level probe of the steam generator.
• At the end of distillation the sample tube content is absorbed to the
steam generator.
Check that the steam hose is not obstruct.
Locate the aerated electrovalve:
Check it actives, check that the voltage with a tester (230V).
Check (detaching it) that it is not obstructed.

15.2 Alarm anomalies:

• The alarm (2) for hose presence and lock door is always active and
block the unit running.
Check the door is correctly closed.
Check the microswitches are o.k. (you will hear a click) when you close the
door or lower the lever.
Check the cable (grey) continuity.
• The refrigerating water does not enter.
Check if the tap is open.
Locate the refrigerating water input valve, check the voltage with a
tester(230V). If there is voltage and the valve does not open, knock it. That is due
to a small lime rest blocking the water pass. If knocking is not enough, detach the
valve to clean the water pass.
• Security thermostat alarm activates and the equipment is blocked.
This alarm activates when there is an excessive temperature in the steam gen-
erator. In this case, the heating element stays disconnected by the thermostat and
the control electronics block all the unit functions.
To rearm the thermostat, wait some minutes to let the temperature of the
generator fall down to a more normal level, and press the rearm switch.
The cause of the thermostat disconnection is due to the steam generator's lack
of water. Check the hydraulic wiring to generate water, tank, pump, hoses, level
probe.
