16 Throubleshooting table

• The green indicator «ON» does not light.
Check fuses and wiring connection cables.
Check main switch.
• The equipment still adding water till it breaks out off the sample.
The equipment do not detect the water level for low conductivity. Add about 250ml
of tap water in the water tank.
Check the cable (white) of the level probe of the steam generator.
• At the end of distillation, the sample tube content is absorbed to the
steam generator.
Check the steam hose is not obstructed.
Locate the aerated electrovalve:
Check it actives, check the voltage with a tester (230V).
Check (detaching it) it is not obstructed.
• The refrigerating water does not enter.
Check the tap is open.
Locate the refrigerating water input valve, check the voltage with a tester (230V).
If there is voltage and the valve does not open, hit it. That is due to a small lime
rest blocking the water pass. If hitting is not enough, detach the valve to clean the
water pass.
• Security thermostat Alarm warmed and the equipment is blocked.
This alarm warms when there is an excessive temperature in the steam generator. In
this case, the heating element stays disconnected by the thermostat and the control
electronics blocks all the unit functions.
To rearm the thermostat, wait some minutes to let the temperature of the generator
fall down to a more normal level, and pulse the rearm switch.
The cause of the thermostat disconnection is that the steam generator is lack of
water. Check the hydraulic wiring to generate water, tank, pump, hoses, level probe.
• Distillation does not stops automatically.
Check that collector flask is properly placed on his holder (flask wall must be in
contact with sensor face).
Check, from inside the unit, that the sensor detects the water level, this situation is
indicated by a yellow light.
Adjust the sensibility.
