SHIELD LENS FOR SCOTT SPLIT BICYCLE HELMET
Congratulations on your purchase of premium SCOTT shield lens for your
SCOTT Split bicycle helmet.
Every SCOTT lens bears the CE mark which represents compliance with
European guidelines 89/686/EEC in connection with EN 1836:2007-11.
All SCOTT lenses are always in compliance with the US standard ANSI/
Z80.3-2008 „nonprescription sunglasses and fashion eyewear require-
ments". This product is a PPE Category 1.
RANGE OF APPLICATION AND RESTRICTIONS ON USE
SCOTT lenses guarantee protection from harmful UVA and UVB rays up
to 400 nm. However, SCOTT lenses do not offer sufficient protection
against direct UV radiation such as tanning booths and sunlight. Do not
use for looking directly at the sun!
Do not use SCOTT lenses while driving at night or in otherwise reduced
lighting conditions.
SCOTT lenses have a shock resistance in accordance with EN 1836:2007-
11 and the US standard ANSI/Z80.3-2008, however they are not unbreak-
able. For this reason, SCOTT lenses do not protect against eye injuries.
SCOTT Sports SA excludes any liability for possible damage occurring or
having occurred from improper use.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

The lenses correspond with optical class 1 and have been tested in accor-
dance with EN 1836:2007-11.

The corresponding filter category as well as light transmission can be
removed from the transmission curves.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USAGE
Your SCOTT Shield lens is designed for usage with the SCOTT Split bike
helmet. There are three sizes of Shield lenses, which are designed for the
three sizes of SCOTT Split bike helmet available. Please purchase the cor-
rect size lens for your helmet size. SCOTT Sports SA excludes any liabili-
ty for possible damage occurring or having occurred from improper use,
incorrect size usage or incorrect fitting of the Shield lens.
HOW TO FIT YOUR SHIELD LENS
1. Your lens has three attachment clips (figure 1) which are designed to
correspond with three attachment points in the brow of the helmet (fig-
ure 2).
