Gain/Offset Calibration Function

1
20
The AD368 module provides an adjustment function to enable the user to calibrate the
gain and offset. Normally, this function need not be used.
However, gain/offset adjustment function is useful in the following cases:
(1) When the result is affected by the impedance of the cable connecting the connected
equipment to the AD368.
(2) When the maximum output voltage and current of the connected equipment do not
reach the expected full scale value.
(3) When the connected equipment cannot correctly output zero and there is an offset.
Adjustment method
(1) Short the ADJ terminal. The RUN LED blinks.
(2) Select the target channel with the channel selection switch.
(3) Offset adjustment
(a) Output zero from the connected equipment (offset value if there is offset).
(b) Turn the GAIN/OFFSET/MANU switch to OFFSET position.
(c) Set the UP/DOWN switch to UP or DOWN while monitoring the AD conversion
data from the Engineering tool and set the AD conversion result to count 0.
(4) Gain adjustment
(a) Output full scale from the connected equipment.
(b) Turn the GAIN/OFFSET/MANU switch to GAIN.
(c) Set the UP/DOWN switch to UP or DOWN while monitoring the AD conversion
data from the Engineering tool and set the AD conversion result to full scale (for
example, +2000 count if ±10 V mode).
(5) Repeat steps (3) and (4) for the number of channels to be adjusted.
(6) Press the SET switch to write the calibration data in EEPROM.
Check that the SET LED turns on for few seconds and then goes off.
(7) Open the ADJ terminal. The RUN LED turns back on.
