In selecting a location for installation, it is necessary to provide ad-
equate accessibility clearances for servicing and proper operation.
Locating and Venting the Direct Vent Stove
Clearances: When facing the front of the direct vent stove the
minimum clearances to combustible construction (material) are
the following:
Top of appliance (ceiling)
Rear Wall
Side Wall
Heater Corners (45° angle) to Wall
Floor
Installation on Rugs and Tile
This appliance must be installed on a flat, solid, continuous surface
(e.g. wood, metal, concrete). This may be the floor, or it may be
raised up on a platform to enhance its visual impact. The continu-
ous surface may be covered with carpeting, vinyl, wood flooring
or other combustible material.
