CANON CONSUMER DIGITAL VIDEO EQUIPMENT LIMITED WARRANTY FOR
THE UNITED STATES
Thewarranty set tor,'_a rd below is given by Canon U.S.A.,Inc. with respect to equipment perchased in the
United States. The limited warranty is only effective upon presentahon of your Bill of Sale or other proof of perchase.
Canonconsumer digital video equipment is warranted uilder ilomlak noil-colnlnercial, persoilal use, against defective materials or
workmanship as billows:
Parts: Detective parts will be exchanged for new parts or comparable rebuilt parts for a period uf ONEYEARfrom the date of original
purchase, except h_r a detective Video Head, which will be exchanged h_r a pedod of three months from the date of purchase.
Labor: For a period uf ONEYEARfrom the date of original purchase, labor will be provided free OT charge by our tach/n/_rvice centers or
designated service facilitieslocated in the United States.
When returning equipment under h_iswarranty, you must pro-pay lhe shipping charges, and you must enclose g_eBill of Sale or other
proof of purchasewith a complete explanation of the problem. During your ONE-YEAR warranty period, repairs will be madeand the
equipment return-shipped h_you free of charge. After your warran[y period is over, you will be given an eshmate of the cost uf repair and
an opportunihf b approve or disapprove of lhe repair expense before it is incurred. If you approve, repairs wiii be made and the
equipment return-shipped h_you. (shipping charges apply), if you disapprove, we will return-ship the equipment at no charge b you
Non-Canon brand peripheral equipment and software which may be distributed with Canoncamcorders are sold "AS IS"
without warranty of any kind by CUSA,including any implied warranty regarding merchantability or fitness for a particular
purpose, The sole warranty with respect to such non-Canon brand items is given by the manufacturer or producer thereof.
CUSAshall have noresponsibility under this limited warranty for use of Canon camcorders in conjunction with incompatible peripheral
equipment and incompatible software.

CANON iNFORMATiON CENTER AT t-800-828-4040). Y_uwill be directed to the nearest service facility for your product.
This Limited Warranty covers all defects encountered in normal use OT the equipment and does not apply in the following cases:
A) Loss or damage b the equipment due h_abuse, mishandling, accident, improper maintenance, or tailure to h_llow operating
iilstructioils:
B} if the equipment is defective as a result of leaking batteries, sand, dirt or water damage;
C) if defects or damages are caused by the use of unauthorized parts or by service giber than our authorized agent;
D) if the equipment is used tot commercial or industrial use.
This Limited Warranty does not cover cabinet (exterior linish}, DVDdiscs, nor does it apply to equipment purchased outside lhe United
States. This warranty does not cover units sold b rental firms, military operations, hotels, schools, hospitals or forother commercial,
industrial or institutional applications. These usesare covered only by such specific warranty as Canon may issuewith such sales.
This Limited Warranty does not apply b accessories or consumables h_r the camcorder, which are sold "AS iS", without warranty of any
kind by CDSA.

sure you are contacted right away should there be a safety inspection, modification or product recall under applicable laws or
