Software requirements for IRF

All IRF member devices must run the same software image version. Make sure the software auto-
update feature is enabled on all member devices.

IRF fabric size

An CR16000-F IRF fabric supports a maximum of two member devices.

IRF port connection

When you connect neighboring IRF members, connect the physical interfaces of IRF-port 1 on one
member to the physical interfaces of IRF-port 2 on the other (see
members, IRF ports with the same port index cannot have physical connections.
