LED Function Description
The TA-1 theater amplifier has 4 LEDs that are used to indicate various settings and states.

Bass and treble controls
The bass and treble controls are available as IR and serial commands only. There are three
commands for each control: up, down and flat. The 16 levels for each one range from 8 up to 8
down.
These controls are for room-specific equalization only. They are not intended to be adjusted by
the customer. They are normally set once by the system installer and then left at that setting for
that installation. These commands are not supported on the Bose
must use either a Phillips Pronto remote control that has been programmed for use with the TA-1
or use serial data commands through an IBM compatible PC.

Color
Description
Green
On when the amplifiier has been powered up from any power
command (IR, music center, etc.)
Yellow
Double function LED.
Standby function: On when AC is available at the amplifier but
a power command has not been received (ON LED is off).
Turns off when it leaves stanby mode (ON LED is on).
Command function: Blinks as follows:
1 blink: music center command
2 blinks: IR command
3 blinks: serial command
Double function LED.
Yellow
Setup function: Blinks when the speaker selector switch does
not match the current EQ setting, as shipped from the factory.
Off when a new EQ setting has been accepted and the unit
has powered first off, then on again.
Analog input indication: Blinks in response to a command to
change the selected input source to music or video.
1 blink indicates the music input is selected
2 blinks indicate the video input is selected
Red
Double function LED.
Fault function: Flashes a number to indicate the location of a
fault condition.
Digital input indication: Flashes 1 to 4 times to indicate which of
the 4 digital inputs is selected. No flash after a source
command is issued indicates that the digital input is disabled.
