Alignment
DVS Unit Adjustment
Connect the FH-2 to the REMOTE jack on the rear
panel.
Connect the Ohmmeter lead between TP2905 and
ground on the DVS Unit.
Adjust VR2901 on the DVS Unit for 40 k-Ohms
(±200 Ohms) on the Ohmmeter.
TX Unit Adjustment
TX-IF-AMP Bias Adjustment
Disconnect the coaxial cable from J2514, then ter-
minate J2514 into a 50-Ohm resistor.
Connect the DC voltmeter to TP2506 on the TX
Unit.
Adjust VR2503 on the TX Unit for 3.6 V (±0.1 V)
on the DC voltmeter.
ALC Meter VR Adjustment
Press and hold in the [ANT1], [ANT3], and [RX
ANT] keys, while turning the radio on, to enter
the alignment mode.
Rotate the Main Dial knob to select the alignment
parameter "C17A."

DVS UNIT A
Rotate the CLAR/VFO-B knob so that the VFO-B
frequency display shows "0."
Connect the DC voltmeter to the center leg of
VR2504 (or TP2534) on the TX Unit.
Adjust VR2504 for 3.0 V (±0.1 V) on the DC volt-
meter.
Do not exceed a VR2504 setting of 3.3 V on the
DC voltmeter.
Press the [MNU] key momentarily to exit from
the alignment mode.
TX IFT Adjustment (HF)
Disconnect the coaxial cable from J2514 on the
TX Unit, then connect the RF millivoltmeter to
J2514.
Set the MAIN Band (VFO-A) frequency to 28.700
MHz in the CW-U mode, then rotate the RF PWR
knob to the fully clockwise position.
Press the PTT button, then adjust T2501, T2502,
T2503, T2504, and T2505 on the TX Unit for maxi-
mum deflection on the RF millivoltmeter.
Release the PTT button.
Disconnect the RF millivoltmeter from J2514 on
the TX Unit, then re-connect the coaxial cable to
J2514.
