Alignment
MCF Adjustment
Connect the RF Signal Generator to the "ANT 1"
Jack, then set the output level to +30 dBµ at 14.200
MHz.
Set the MAIN Band (VFO-A) frequency to 14.200
MHz in the CW mode.
Set the MAIN Band's Roofing Filter bandwidth
to "15 kHz."
Adjust T1017 and T1018 on the RX-1 Unit for
maximum deflection on the Main S-meter.
Set the MAIN Band's Roofing Filter bandwidth
to "6 kHz."
Adjust T1019 and T1020 on the RX-1 Unit for
maximum deflection on the Main S-meter.
Set the MAIN Band's Roofing Filter bandwidth
to "3 kHz."
Adjust T1021 and T1022 on the RX-1 Unit for
maximum deflection on the Main S-meter.
Set the RF Signal Generator output level to 0 dBµ
at 52.500 MHz (with ±3.5 kHz deviation @1 kHz).
Set the MAIN Band (VFO-A) frequency to 52.500
MHz in the FM mode.
Set the MAIN Band's Roofing Filter bandwidth
to "AUTO."
Adjust T1017 and T1018 on the RX-1 Unit for
maximum SINAD.

NB Circuit Adjustment
Connect the RF Signal Generator to the "ANT 1"
Jack, then set the output level to +30 dBµ at 14.200
MHz.
Set the MAIN Band (VFO-A) frequency to 14.200
MHz in the CW mode.
Turn on the MAIN band (VFO-A) NB switch, then
set the MAIN band (VFO-A) NB knob to the 12-
o'clock position.
Connect the RF millivoltmeter to TP1005 on the
RX-1 Unit.
Adjust T1027 and T1028 on the RX-1 Unit for
minimum deflection on the RF millivoltmeter.
Turn the MAIN band (VFO-A) NB switch off.
IF Trap Adjustment
Connect the RF Signal Generator to the "ANT 1"
Jack, then set the output level to +90 dBµ at 40.455
MHz.
Set the MAIN Band (VFO-A) frequency to 28.700
MHz in the CW-U mode.
Adjust TC1002 on the RX-1 Unit for minimum
deflection on the Main S-meter.
Set the MAIN Band (VFO-A) frequency to 51.500
MHz in the CW-U mode.
Adjust T1001 and VR1001 on the RX-1 Unit in
succession several times for minimum deflection
on the Main S-meter.
