SCAN THE BLAddER PHANTOM
40. Ensure there is sufficient water on the scan membrane of the adult bladder phantom. The entire
membrane should be covered.
41. On the console, on the Main Configuration screen, press the RUN button. The console is now in
standard operating mode.

42. On the Main Menu screen, press the SCAN button.

43. On the Scan screen, press the Male/Female button in order to select male mode.

44. Place the dome section of the probe onto the phantom scan membrane, and then press it gently against
the top surface of the phantom.
45. On the probe, press the Scan button. The probe begins to scan the phantom.
46. Hold the probe steady throughout the scan. The console clicks once at each of the twelve scan planes.
When the console beeps, the scan is complete, and the Aiming screen is displayed.

47. On the console screen, verify that the measurement is accurate to ± (10% + 10 mL) of the phantom's
volume.
48. On the certificate, make note of the scan result.
49. Repeat Step 42 through Step 48 in female mode, and then confirm the female mode measurement is
within the accuracy range.
