8 - INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

8.1 - Directions for installation

• After unpacking, ensure the integrity of the device.
• It is the installer's responsibility to guarantee the integrity and suitability of the actual installation,
particularly the use of suitable tools and accessories for the wiring as well as the correct use thereof
in accordance with the following instructions and current regulations, and in particular in accordance
with the ADR regulations.
• The electrical cables 31A – battery negative and 31 – system positive must, after installation, be completely
insulated from each other; therefore, even a single possible bypass between these two electrical cables
at any other point of the vehicle, perhaps in correspondence with a device, will cause operation failure of
the battery switch.

8.2 - Installation

• In accordance with ADR regulations, the battery switch must be installed as close as possible to the batteries.
• The battery switch must be solidly fi xed to the chassis using N° 4 fi xing holes on the fl ange with
M8 hexagonal cylinder head embedded screws, with washers under the screw heads; for the
drilling template see the relative page.
• The installer must carry out the installation in such a way as to guarantee an IP54 protection level
(in accordance with IEC 60529 regulations) for the battery switch connection wiring.

and orientation template for these components must all be installed inside the vehicle cabin.
• Tightening torque for the M10 nuts: 20±1 Nm.
Do not tighten beyond the torque setting as this could cause breakage of the stud.
• Connection diagram as in Pict. 1.
• The wiring must be connected in accordance with the following table.
