6.2.3.1 - Excluding automatic deactivation

It is possible to impose exclusion of the automatic deactivation function, an exclusion that provides for the
continuation of the activation phase, even in correspondence with a voltage drop in the system below the
threshold voltage (short-circuit).
This presents itself in the following cases:
• Presence of the device on the blue wire, namely moving S
case the battery switch will remain inserted even when the system voltage eventually drops below
the threshold voltage (short-circuit). Exclusion of the automated equipment must be carried out
only in the case of extreme necessity and only in order to take the vehicle to the nearest service
centre equipped to identify and remedy the problem, as this operation reduces the product's safety levels.
• Presence of positive on the white wire, in normal operating conditions, during the start-up phase, to
avoid any possible undesired intervention by the battery switch due to momentarily raised absorption
of the starter motor.

6.3 - Directions for correct use

• The battery switch must not be washed with high-pressure water jets (hoses or power-washers).
The advised installation position is inside the battery box; in the event that this is not
possible for lack of space, carefully choose an installation area away from the effects of
pressure jets.
• Disconnect the battery switch before using any battery charger or booster.
• Never start the motor without fi rst having permanently and correctly connected the batteries and
or the battery switch connections.
• In the event of electric welding, disconnect the battery switch and connect the welder earth cable
as close as possible to the welding area.
• In the event of large temperature variations (e.g. oven painting) remove the battery switch if the
working temperature is to exceed 85°C.
