DEFINITION
Negative direct from battery.
System earth (usually common to the chassis earth) and therefore below the
battery switch. In the ON condition this voltage is common in the battery volta-
ge, that of the alternator is therefore available on the system.
In stable OFF condition, this line is isolated from 31A – battery negative. Even
though the battery switch TGC/E is OFF it is nevertheless possible that this
connection could have a negative value in the specifi c instance that the thermal
motor is running, due to alternator input.
Battery positive.
Stable condition of normal operation of the device; corresponds with the con-
dition of the batteries connected to the system in which the main contacts are
closed and the auxiliary contact is in a state of operation.
"Rest" condition of the device; corresponds with the condition of the batteries
isolated from the system in which the main contacts are open, and the auxiliary
contact is in a position of "rest".
Relay contact (NC to earth in deactivation) inside the battery switch thanks to
which it is possible to directly or indirectly deactivate the alternator.
