PARAMETER STORE AND RECALL

Presets

The Presets feature is used to store specific parameters for the purpose of building "scenes." (Refer to
Editing Scenes"
on page 42). The most important aspect of presets is that they are referenced by the scenes. This can
be used to save time during the initial programming of a show and for quickly updating parameters throughout all
scenes if something on stage changes. For example, the layers' Scale, X-Position, and Y-Position parameters could
be stored into a preset which is then used to build scenes. If a new scale and/or position is required due to a change
of projector equipment on stage, the preset could easily be updated and all the scenes built using those presets
would automatically reflect the change (rather than having to individually change the scale/position parameters in
every scene).
A Preset window, available from the Media Picker, contains 20 banks of 100 presets (for a total of 2000 presets).
Settings can be stored into these individual presets for later recall. They can also be deleted or edited at any time.
Guidelines:
+
A preset can contain any collection of parameters for any number of fixtures.
+
When a preset is used to build a scene, the preset information is linked directly to that scene.
+
Preset parameter values are stored for specific fixtures (those selected when the preset is recorded).
+
Presets do not store or recall any timing data. (The only exceptions are the texture and object crossfade times,
which aren't actually real timing data, but parameters for Mbox.)
To open the Preset window, press the [Preset] button on the Media Picker (or use keyboard -Y):
