Sensor3 BatteryPack Option
Terminate Wire to CEM3 Backplane
1:
Find the 2-pin Phoenix connector (part number J3976-F) included with the BatteryPack Option.
2:
Connect the wires from the BatteryPack Option to the 2-pin Phoenix connector using a flatblade
precision screwdriver:
• Pin 1=Positive (red)
• Pin 2=Negative (black)
When held in the orientation shown below, the top of the connector is visible. This is Pin 1. (See
Figure 4 below.)

Connect the 2-pin connector to the rear of the
backplane. Make sure that you align it with the red
wire on top. The connector is keyed, but can be
forced onto the mount incorrectly. If you encounter
more than a little resistance when trying to plug in the
connector, stop and make sure that the connector is
oriented correctly. It may help to use a small mirror to
view the rear of the backplane when connecting (see
Figure 5 at right.)
