This manual contains important information on how to operate the machine safely, properly, and efficiently. Machine Operation/Maintenance Belt Tension The rule for belt tension is as follows: The belt tension must be great enough to prevent slippage between drive pulley and belt. If there is slippage between the drive pul- ley and belt adjust the take-ups, on both sides of the pulley, equally until there is no more slippage.
