General
The Model M1042/M1045 will perform many types of
operations that are beyond the scope of this manual.
Many of these operations can be dangerous if performed
incorrectly.
The instructions in this section are written with the under-
standing that the operator has the necessary knowledge
and skills to operate this machine. If at any time you
are experiencing difficulties performing any operation,
stop using the machine!
If you are an inexperienced operator, we strongly recom-
mend that you read books, trade articles, or seek train-
ing from an experienced sheet metal machine operator
before performing any unfamiliar operations. Above all,
your safety should come first!
Handle Assembly
The handle assembly must be mounted to the machine.
If left hand operation is required, repeat the steps below
on the opposite side of the machine.
To install the handle assembly, do these steps:
1. Install the cover over the handle with two M6-1 x 16
capscrews.
2. Tighten the handle assembly adjustment knob to fix
the handle in position.
3. If needed, extend the handle further from the
adjustment knob to obtain greater torque.
