9.7.4. Interrupted firmware update

This is recoverable and is nothing to worry about. Just try to update the firmware again.

9.8. Load output issues

9.8.1. Load output not working

There are a number of reasons why the load output might not be working as expected:
• The battery voltage has dropped below the set threshold and the load output has disconnected from the battery in order to
protect the battery. Check the battery voltage and check the load output setting as programmed via the jumper or via
VictronConnect or display.
• BatteryLife is active. For more information on BatteryLife see chapter
• The load output has been set to switch on at night and off during the day, for example the controller is used for streetlight
control.
• The load output is turned off in the VictronConnect settings.
Be aware that it can take 2 minutes before the load output becomes active after changing settings.

9.8.2. Load output not able to run load

These are possible reasons why the load output might not be able to run a load:
• The connected load is exceeding the load output rating.
• If a 100/20 solar charger is set to 36V or 48V the load output is reduced from 20A to 1A.
• Some loads with high inrush current can best be connected directly to the battery and let the load output control the inverter via
a remote on/off cable. See the manual for more information.
• The load output is short circuited, either because of a wiring issue or a malfunctioning load is connected to the load output.

9.8.3. Incorrect load output current reading

For an accurate load output reading, all loads need to be connected to the positive load terminal and to the negative load terminal
of the solar charger.
Loads that are connected directly to the battery will not be included in the current reading. So also for loads where the positive
cable is connected to the load output, but the negative cable is connected directly to the battery.
Some loads (especially inverters) are best connected directly to the battery. But this will cause the load current reading to do so
incomplete as it does not include the current traveling directly into load that is connected directly to the battery. Consider adding a
BMV battery monitor which will measure all current going in or out of the battery, including the current going to the loads that have
been connected directly to the battery.
