10. Mounting the hood
• First perform a function test by plug-
ging in the appliance and switching
it on.
• Remove the protective films, except
from the chimney, to avoid scratches.
• Place the hood mounting bracket
horizontally on the wall using a spirit
level and mark the position of the
screw holes.
Note: The hood will later be suspen-
ded from the bracket on the rear up-
per edge. To be sure, you can also fix it
beforehand and pre-align it optically.
• Drill two holes in the wall at the
marked points with an 8 mm drill bit.

• Then carefully tap the dowels into
the holes with a hammer and fasten
the bracket to them with the screws
supplied.
• Lift the hood body, hang it onto the
wall bracket and tighten it at first
with 2 long screws.
